Governing Council & Working Committee

ICGN has been established as an institute under the CAM Act CAP 59 of 1990 of the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in accordance with its Articles of Association. The governance of ICGN is vested in the Governing Council headed by a President/the Chairman of Council. The President is assisted by a Deputy President. Members of this Council, who are committed to the furtherance of the objectives of the institute, are drawn from the academia, private and public sectors and they are people of high standing and integrity in the society who have excelled in their chosen careers.

The Council is a policy making and the highest decision making body of the institute.
The institute executes its policies and functions through its working committees.
The institute’s administration is headed by the Registrar/CEO who also is the Secretary to Council in the operation of the institute; the Registrar/CEO is assisted by Directors.

Apart from Governing Council of the institute there is also an Advisory body otherwise known as the Advisory Board. This board plays an advisory role to the governing council.

ICGN Working Committees

The Governing Council has appointed the following working committees through which it executes its policies and performs specific functions of assignment. These committees are:

Research and Capacity Building Committee (RCBC): This committee is saddled with the coordination of ICGN research projects as well as design, implement, monitor and evaluates the ICGN curriculum, training programmes and other educational programmes of the Institute. This committee is made up of members from academia and other professionals.

Membership Services Committee: This committee is saddled with the responsibility of processing and recommending the approval of the application of membership to the Institute.

Ethics and Compliance Committee: This Committee oversees the interpretation and administration of the code of Ethics and Professional Conduct of members and performs the function of audit.

Finance Committee: This Committee performs the function of Financial Control and Administration of the Institute.

Nomination Committee: The nomination committee is saddled with the responsibility of nomination and appointment of members into certain key positions.

The Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of the Institute oversees the production of all the publications of the Institute. This committee is led by Dr. Elewechi Okike.
