Objectives

The main objective of the Institute is two-fold. On the one hand, the Institute takes an active part in promoting and developing Corporate Governance scholarship and in organizing professional events and activities for Corporate Governance practitioners and Scholars in Nigeria and at international level.

Promoting global best corporate governance standards and practices.

Promoting knowledge sharing as well as enhanced innovative training and learning methodology.

Raising awareness about global best corporate governance standards and practices, and forging consensus for reform through workshops, symposia, round-tables, seminars, conferences, research etc.

Providing consultancy services and technical support to institutions.

Supporting institutions to develop corporate governance codes and facilitate implementation of such codes.

Pioneering research on corporate governance.
